Working as a gigging musician, music producer,  educator, and audio engineer, Dev continues to approach every opportunity as  a chance to dig deeper into understanding, creating, and living life as an artist  and musician.  

After graduating Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain, with a  master’s in Contemporary Performance and Production, Dev was selected as a graduate fellow, where he served as the in-house drummer for the  CPPD program. At this same time, he was signed as a recording artist to  Disrupción Records, and gigged regularly throughout Valencia performing his  original music with his jazz/hip-hop band: Masters of Piñon.  

Following two years in Spain, Dev moved to Chongqing, China, to work  as a drum instructor and content developer for Musicool- Music & Art. Here he taught private and group drum lessons as well as music theory courses. He  also co-designed a percussion-based team-building program, and wrote a book  of rudimental technique-oriented drum solo pieces, complete with original  backing tracks to play along with. At the same time, Dev maintained a regular  gig at In Free Live jazz club with his own group, the Devin Malloy Trio, where  he sang and played the drums.  

Since relocating back to Colorado, Dev has worked mainly as a session beat-maker and drummer on the musiversal platform, which enables people to record and create music with top-notch session musicians from around the world in live remote recording sessions. Devin also maintains an active schedule as a gigging musician, works as a session musician at AML Production Studio, and teaches audio engineering, music production, and electronic music composition at UCCS.
